Overused Ideas

Sess/Kag fics. TONS of them at the shrine I hang around. Some good, some bad, some stupid. But they all begin the same way: Inuyasha chooses Kikyou, and Kagome runs off in the forest only to be rescued by Sesshoumaru.

New Idea: Have Inuyasha DIE and then you might get me somewhere.

i know all the cliched lines that are said soo many millions of times.

but my brain isn't working right now, so i can't think of the overused ideas.

Overused ideas that I can think up off the top of my head include....

Games/FF7 realm:
- Aerisephs (Aeris x Sephiroth)
- Yuffentines (Yuffie x Vincent)
- Yuffie x Red XIII (not overused, but the sheer extreme of it justifies a mention)
- Aeris and/or Sephiroth ressurected to cause new conflict
- "Two years after Meteor...."
- Mary-Sues and other "insert yourself into the game" plotlines

one of the most cliched fanfiction ideas: so-and-so gets taken by Random Evil Dude, and has is saved by Hero-Guy. of course, Hero-Guy saves the day and gets the girl.

The whole "Hero has a heart of gold" sort of thing. Ya know, for once I want some f**k-up like Ryou Bakura as the main character in an anime (I only use him as an example since I don't like Yugi-oh, but I do think he is a great villian). You know, some sick awesome psyco person as the "hero" in a story.

the most overused thing in hentai, yaoi, and yuri:

the uke (or the girl, in the case of hentai), will ALWAYS have huge explosive climaxes that normally include the line 'as waves of pleasure crashed over so-and-so'.

Love-Hate romance plots are used all the time. But most of those are cool if done correctly (my favorite type of romance)
