Sick Things We Love To Do

We all love a good angsty death. We all love an insane character. We all love those sick little things we put in our fictions or fanfictions that make people gasp in horror and suprise. So what mean little things do you do to your characters? What terrifying plot twists have you snagged? And what do you like to do to your reviewers? Make them cry, to fear? Anyone and anything peoples...

having the characters be psychologically f**ked with, then have them commit suicide in the most tear-jerking way possible :)

I love to have my characters betray each other. Sends the readers for a tailspin. Nothing better than a good liar in a fanfiction, there aren't enough of them. Makes the readers really have to think...can the character trust this person? Can this character truely be telling the truth...? Deception is awesome...mwahaha.

in that fic, one of the characters committed suicide due to psychological problems, the other character angsted about it for a chapter, then got kidnapped, repeatedly raped, and killed himself to be with the other character.

Non-perfect characters, too. I like making my characters bitches. Give them faults. I love making my characters at least a little screwed up, makes them more interestin' . For example, who couldn't love a cross-dressing, bisexual vampire that's a ringmaster for an underground, illegal fight club, who had his hands chopped off and sown back on backwards?

O.O awesome.

i don't write much original fiction, i use pre-existing characters.

been writing Yami No Matsuei fics lately, the characters are fuuun to mess with. One of the characters was locked away almost all his life for having a power to sense emotions, then was raped, tortured for three years and killed. Another was beaten up many times throughout his childhood for being different, stayed in a coma with no food, drink, or sleep for 8 years, waking only to commit suicide. One of them is a serial killer who has killed many people, had his parents killed by his half-brother when he was little, continues to kill people and psychologicallly torture the two main characters throughout the course of the series, and his goal in life is to bring back his dead half-brother so he can kill him with his own hands....

Character pasts are awesome to screw up, huh? Give a character a horrid, torturous background, powerhungry family members, stripped memories and you have yourself a nice little angsty acolyte that can crack at any moment. God I love those fics.

I also love to have the sort of possive, stalker-ish romances more than the mushy types. Makes them far more interesting and spooky.

that's also another thing you can do with yami no matsuei fanfictions: the serial-murderer character (Muraki) is absolutely infatuated with the one who commited suicide (Tsuzuki), and is the one who raped and tortured the other character (Hisoka).

Muraki is the personification of stalker-obsessive relationships. he tries to (and almost succeds) get Tsuzuki to commit suicide because 'he loves him too much'.

I had this one character who carved Terentia's name into his flesh in about a dozen different places to say that "he was her possession...he was her doll"

...I love screwing with my character's minds...

that remidns me of Yami no Matusei; Muraki had placed curse marks on Hisoka when he raped him, and says that he is his 'precious doll'.

muraki has this thing with dolls..

the anime is good for the condensed version of it, it's only 13 episodes.

the mangas will take a long time to all come out...not sure how many there are, i'll ask my friend who should know..
