This is for those people out there that have their own bands. I've been concentrating on my own band for a nice long time now, so I wanted to: A. Get the info on other upcoming bands out there and B. give/receive opinions on how the band operates and the styles.
Also, it'll give use an idea of whom to watch.
So, here's mine:
Name: Inside Out
Age: roughly 2 years old
Target genre(what you want the genre to be): hard rock
Parental Advisory?: Occasionally
Members:
Vocalist- Ethan Chabot
Guitarist- John Shafer
Bassist- Mike Mills
Drummer- C.J. Nicholson
Also, I suppose if you feel comfortable with giving an example of your lyrics, you can give some of those too. Like:
She's a dime a f**k whore
With a needle in her arm
Now she's begging for more
She isn't doing any harm
Any websites you have up. Like this:
Inside Out
Inside Out Forums
You don't have to go into as much detail. Just the basics.
If anyone's out there, advertise.

Name: Syke Ward
Age: about... 9 months
Target genre(what you want the genre to be): alternative to hard rock
Parental Advisory?: most of the time
Members:
Vocalist- Tara Tucker
lead Guitarist- Jared Cox
Backup guitars- Tara Tucker
Bassist- Missy Warren
Drummer- he quit. I need a new one
We're not that great yet, we still have ALOT to work on. I'll have to find some of the s**t I've written. I'll keep ya posted. Heheheh.
I keep dropping my sheet music all over the friggen place. It sucks. Man. We keep changing locations. From my Garage to this Bar by missy's house. No one ever goes in there anymore, so it's all good.
I've been working on a logo that I'm gonna put on my guitar if the band sticks. But we seriously need a new drummer before we do s**t. our old one moved to Oregan or somethin'. And I highly doubt the school will let me put up signs that say "Auditions for a drummer". My school is evil. Heheh.

Man I only wish I had enough talant to be in a band. It's a shame cause my best friend is really considering starting one. And I can't really do much to help him musically. The only thing I can do is be his first groupie... or something XD _________________

Well, you could try and learn the guitar. It's easy to start but takes alot of work.
I'm posting signs up for drummer auditions, but no one has responded yet. Probably should move them.
Jared and I are thinking about changing our name. I dunno what to yet. I was thinking Blind or something like that unless someone has it already. Any suggestions or should we keep the old name? |

I brought this up somewhere else. I would have to say that "Blind" isn't a good choice. You're hard rock, and that name sounds emo-punk.
I have no idea. I was thinking about changing Inside Out's name to Revolver or Revolution.
Decided not to because I thought they were stupid. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

heheh, good point. Think i should keep it Syke Ward? I like that name.
We've had a few people ask to audition for drummer, but none are really brilliant. I am really getting mad about it, too. I guess we can only take what we have.
Missy's mom went and accidentally stepped on her base and broke something... can't remember what... but anyways, she has to get it repaired now and all that crap. I think she needs a new one because her old one is starting to sound funny anyways... but hey.
There is another band at the school I go to that has the name revolution. They aren't really good, though. They need alot of practice. |
