Guestbooks & Forums

Okay, I'm launching my sites next month and I need to find two things:
A good, [i][b]free[/b][/i], adjustable guestbook and forum.

(I don't need the forum for QUITE some time though, just thought I'd ask now instead of making yet another topic a couple months from now)

If anyone has any suggestions I'd be really thankful ^^

Never cared much for guest books, but some good free forums are Invision (What FAC uses, but no longer free as far as I can tell) and PHP BB. Discus is a choice for a different style of forum. and vbulletin is a very popular paid choice.

So PHP BB is free? I've seen that one a lot.
I've never seen Discus so I'll have to check that out and see if I like that one better.

I can tell what forum to avoid avid gamers. They are the worst. My longest running forum RP was hosted there.. I tell it was a nightmare... *shudders* but yeah invision is good ^^ Yabbers is good too (basically invision by a different name)

I agree. ProBoards is free as well.

went with PhP as far as forums go.
they had lots of good stuff ^^ so w00t on that note.

Still need a good guestbook. something I can adapt to my site easily T.T hm.... this'll take some searching/thinking

Might I suggest http://www.guestbookdepot.com/. It gives you a free guestbooks. For instance, check out my guestbook.

There are lots of script databases to look through. If that one isn't good enough, take a in http://www.hotscripts.com and other such sites.
