Adding Fanwork

I'm sort-of new here...well, I've been here alot as a guest but when I registered and tried to add some of my pics I get this message:

Error moving image to your folder

My pictures are JPEGs and are less then 300k, and less then 640pixels wide and all that but I still can't post. My friend (lotrluv) registered the same day I did but she can post and I still can't, why is that?(I'm uploading from my directly from my computer.)

also another thing, when I wrote my username I had an 'er' and the end of it so it was:
'Shadow_of_the_doubt_Dechibinater' but when I logged in it cut off the 'er'. Is there any special reason for that?

If anyone can help me I would really like it, but I'm patient so I can wait, (I have been for six and a half weeks or round about that...)

I think there's a limit of about 30 characters to a username. If you can't compose your username within that limit, think harder to come up with something that will represent you. 30 chars is a VERY generous limit IMHO, most people can come up with a decent username in less than 16 letters....

It could also explain the error you received. Denis's the only one with the exact answers though.

thank-you Strata for clearing up the whole username problem, all I need now is to find out why my computer won't let me post. As I said before it fits the requirements and it allows me to upload. But then I when I get to the 'form' page on what's what about the pic it lets me do that but when I click 'submit I get the:
