if you want the fic critiqued (edited/proofread/beta-read/whatever you want to call it) post in FANFICTION CRITIQUES in the PROPER FORMAT.

if that's not the case and you just want random people to read your work do NOT just post it in a post and leave it here! this is NOT self-promotion.

normally i wouldn't go through the trouble of making an entire thread just for this, but we've gotten this problem twice now, and due to a severe lack of activitty in this part of the forums, it's gone sadly unnoticed.

:angry: next person to do this once this thread is posted will get a verbal beatdown.

i'm not a mod, so i can't, but the best thing you would be able to do at this point is i believe edit the story out of your posts (honestly, posts that go down 3 times the screen length is ridiculous), and if you want, re-post it in Fanfiction Critiques.

The Fanfiction subforum [i]itself[/i] is for discussion about the fanfiction genre [b]in general[/b]. Clichs, plot bunnies, character types, styles of writing, prtty much whatever deals with fanfiction in general and not one fic in specific.

If you want constructive criticism and serious advice for a single piece of fanfiction, go check out the Fanfiction Critiques subforum inside of here. MAKE SURE THAT YOU FOLLOW THE FORMAT FOR SUBMITTING A FIC FOR CRITIQUE, we take our critiques and feedback very seriously and have nearly zero tolerance for anything less in there.

On the other hand, if you just want to advertise a fanfic of yours for others to read, then that is a form of Self-Promotion, which has its own subforum within General Art Discussion.

i've just been a little pissed lately because of the onslaught of newbies here and in the Anime/Manga forums..i mean, i'm pretty much the one re-stating the rules over and over to them and getting the brunt of their anger at being corrected <.<

not to mention i was hungover when i wrote that. annoyance+hangovers=very bitchy SIlver

yeah, i konw i'm not nice. i've had enough people tell me that lately; i just get fed up after the 10000th of you i've had to deal with.

I'm only a newbie cause lots of people know more about this site then I do and they've been here for a shorter time than me. It's probably because I never do anything except check the comments on my pics... and either way, at least your mean for a reason, not like GODZILLA, man I hate him.
