Anyone here like pixel art? I've seen a lot of people draw those sprites and dolls, but does anyone like isometric drawing? I've recently have gotten real into it, and I thought others might want to try their hand at it too. Here's a cool site called Isocity where you can draw a pixel house and have it linked to your webpage/gallery. Anybody want to add some more houses? _________________ |

I made all the little pictures in the OS awards, like the one in my signature. I got better at it after some practice, so some are good and some are bad, but I got the hang of it fairly quickly. And all done in msPaint. |

Did you make your avatar? It looks like it's isometric. _________________ |

What do you think of my avatar? I like it, considering its my first piece, but excuse the blue speckles, they came when I converted it to gif. |

It's nice! Did you flood fill the background with a blue gradient? That's probably why it's speckled like that. All those dots combined to make the illusion of a single, middle shade out of a darker and lighter color is a process called dithering. It's a technique some pixel artists use when they want to use less colors. If you change the settings when you optimize your gif, you could save the original color count. What program are you using? _________________ |

I'm using MSPaint, but I used an online GIF converter. And about the gradient, I did that manually using lines and fill. |
