Ok this is in response to all those threads recently about artists wanting feedback to thier work.
If you feel your work is overlooked or want tips/suggestions on how to make it look better post a link (not an attachment... a LINK) to a couple of your pictures that you truly think deserve attention. Do not post links to garbage or three minute doodles. Show us the pictures you're proud of. Just be open to constuctive critism as feedback. Also if your picture contains excesive violence, nudity ect just place a warning along with the link. ^^ _________________

How ironic that people will create entire threads dedicated to begging for comments, where instead they recieve the moderators' wrath, when they just pass up this thread altogether, where they could get comments. <_< _________________ 222.

Well, I was being general, not picking on anyone in particular. Youre fine as long as you post yur pics in threads designated to posting pics (like this one), and you dont create five or six random threads asking for comments. But you are, if my memory serves me, that person who uploads pics on most of your posts. THAT isnt good, it wastes the sites recources. _________________ 222.

I promise on most of these sites I'll try to cut down the picture posting down, I didn't know it wasn't good until you told me, so thank you. |

I just to know what people think of this abstract I did. It's one those pictures who can look at see several different images and everyone sees something different. Anyways should I continue doing pictures like this or should I go away from this path?

Your welcome, Krissy.
And Dra-goon, does that character stand for anything, or is it random? I like it. _________________ 222.

As far as I know, it as no relationship with any kanji, so it's pretty random. I have found it does spell my name when turned 90 degrees counterclockwise(the last strokes marks makes an E.) |

Okay, well, I like this one. I hope you do too, but apparently people don't 'cause I've only gotten 2 comments, not counting my own. Do people not like my art, or do they just overlook it?

There could be several reasons not many people have commented.
1) They're too lazy.
2) They have nothing to say, either good or bad, about the picture.
3) They are reluctant to give comments, because they were one of those people that gave good, thoughtful, constructive critisism, but it was percieved as flamming by the picture's creator. So they dont bother to comment anymore.
One last piece of advice: The comment you put under your picture--
I really don't think anyone's gonna like it! It's this sinking sensation I've got!
--is pretty negative. If you don't think your art is good, and especialy if you say so, other people won't get that enthusiastic about it either (usually. There might be some who go "no its good!!!1 dont say that!!!11"). So next time, maybe just talk about the people you drew or something. _________________ 222.

'Kay, thanks Miss Papercut Dragon! I'm one of those people who tend to speak their minds <_< but I really did think no one was gonna like it. But people seem to. I'll have to remember that! Thanks again! I like ninja's. That was a little random...I'll be quiet now... |

I think PD hit that on the head...dont put yourself down for one, and yes I have givin constructive critiques in the past and was thought of as flaming...so usually I just walk past alot of pics figuring all the artist wants are thumbs up. I have a picture here that has had over 600 views, but only 3 comments. has been in a few contests with not one vote for it, and apparently people like the character and mayby the picture. why people dont comment...I dont know. it is one of my favorites of my favorite character in my comic. I put some time in this pic a while back, and I never mind cc from anyone. oh and I have gotten the nasty "theres a leg wrong...cough I guess its okay" comments, from artists that arent that tallented and cant perceive perspectives that arent just people standing straight up!
so rip it apart, kick it around, tear me up for this picture, but make sure you tell me why when your done....I really do like to hear other artists opinions. only a few have ever really cc my pics and I always thanked them dearly for it.

I'm sure I commented on that before, but I don't remember the border being there. Sorry DaBear. And no, no one ever commented on my bear's sweater before I took a better picture of it. _________________ |

you know for all the people always b*tchen and moanin about "I dont get comments" and "dont you like me" no one ever really posted here to get cheap and easy comments on a pic or two. Thanks for your comments Amy and as for your thread here I think its a good idea, but I guess people are to proud (lol) to post. But they will start 100 other threads of thier own. _________________ 'It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. Kinda like the "organized spam" section. (Dunno if it's still organized, I haven't been there in a while). But I thought of another reason why there could be like 30 views and one comment: a lot of those views could be by people who aren't members and therefore not allowed to comment on pictures. _________________ 222.

thats a good point I never thought of Papercut. but for the ones that are FAC I think its what I stated before, if I try to give cc to an artist whose struggling I either get a rashion from the artist or people who are friends and tend to just pass up the pics after that.
I noticed the views on my picks went down considerably since I started putting the girls in regular outfits (like the comic). mayby everyone just wanted to see the fantasy clothes pictures? oh well its still being looked at and I enjoy drawing them. _________________ 'It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession.
