As we all should know by now, the Doom movie is slated for release later this year. What has currently been announced was that the shooting for the movie has all been done.
Release dates have been speculated to be in Summer 2005 (specifically September); exactly three years since it was first announced. Dave Callaham wrote the script while Andrzej Bartkowiak (Cradle 2 the Grave, Romeo Must Die) is directing the blockbuster hit.
Doom is slated to follow closely to the Doom 3 videogame (which is essentially a remake of the original Doom). Although it does have some minor changes here and there, the game should be loyal to the Doom franchize.
I'm actually looking forward to this movie, simply because of how it's touted as being "loyal" to its brood material; something we haven't seen much of in Holywood game/comic-transitions. Plus it has the Rock in it... so that'll be cool. |

Excuse me, false information... The movie is slated to release in August. Sorry, my bad. |
