Chat Room Blues

i'm having trouble with the chat room. when i click on the link it opens the chat window and everything and says attempting to connect (or something to that effect) but it never does. i have a fast internet so i don't think it's that it's taking forever to load, because i've left it up there for a long time. i'm using IE as my browser and Windows XP. any ideas? thanks!

Sounds like some sort of firewall problem.
Providing exact error message or somthing may allow me to help more.

I am assuming you are trying to use the Java applet, you can try another IRC program such as the popular mIRC

It says "Connecting to jirc.mircx.com 8080...
Connected, please wait...."
and that's all it does. I'll try it with mIRC. Thanks!
