Found: One Dog

Let's waste no words -- I have a suspicion that the below picture was ripped from a different site online before it was submitted to FAC. If there was a watermark, signature, or logo on it, I'd have searched it out by now... but this one has no leads, and without leads, all I can do is suspect it. Any ideas?

try typing the entire written part in google and see what you get (not image search)

This might be from the same artist, the style, and the place where they put the description is the same.

EDIT: Heck, if you look at the "stolen" picture from photoshop and enlarge it, there are rows and columns of pixels where it doesn't go smoothly, so I suspected it was resized, so, I got the width from the other border collie painting that looked similar, and punched it to the stolen dog picture, resized it, then realized...

The pictures are identically sized!

And also, you can ask the person what media they used, it looks like it can only be one type of paint.

Stratadrake, could you pm me the name of the member who submitted that? it would make the search faster, don't ask me how Wink

I think it looks more like this one really. I got this one, a border collie Oil Painting (that's what the 'Stolen' one sort of looks like) I got this one at

You can't right-click and just save it (I tried so I could post it here) so I hit the print screen button then copied it onto paint and took it out. It looks simliar to the painting. Maybe it's by the same artist?

OH, forgot to add, just so I don't get in trouble, this is copyrighted to the maker of this painting.

Not that i'm AT ALL against scrutinizing people and huntin them down, i find it quite interesting how... for a lack of a better word, "nosy" we are :huh:
Now lets bring the real artists some justice ^_^

It's definitely an oil painting, but seeing as how it's unsigned ... I dbout it's that one, Envied_Chaos. If an artist signs one of their paintings, they're likely to sign them all.

Reason why I suspect this picture is because there was one right next to it that I discovered WAS ripped from another site (pic was watermarked, which made for a painless search). This one, though... I dunno. I'm no Raymei Laughing

Yeah, I noticed the signing after I posted it. I didn't check the others to see if she signed them all, but you're probably right. Plus, it was her site and I didn't see the one you're looking for. I'll keep my eye out. ^_^

Ok people, another strategy

I put up the picture in the Image board, as Nooby_Artist person, I uploaded it with a text "I painted this"

People who sees it and knows the real person who drew it must be pissed Very Happy

hopefully, they'll contact the authority that way, This might be the hardest case to crack yet.

You guys realize that I was the one who put the picture there in the image board claiming I drew it right? If the person knows who drew it, they'll alert the mods, and we'll know whom the thief took the picture from that way.

But, can't we just ask the person what medium that is painted with? If they say anything other than oil, we'll know it's a fraud. Do mods use interrogations as their tactic? :huh:

No, we won't ask questions because there has to be proof of the original image before we'll delete it, so knowing they didn't do it isn't much help without the original.
