Fac Main Page Problems?

Okay... having some login problems and I don't know why. Let me tell you about it...

I started Internet Explorer and it loaded www.Fanart-Central.net like it always does. Noticing I was logged out, I clicked login in, put in my name and password, hit ok. What does it do? Nothing. At the bottom it says 'Loading page www.fanart-central.net/artist.php...' but it doesn't load, or it terminates the process and takes me straight to the main site again, [i]without logging me in.[/i] So, I tried it again, does the same thing again.

So thinking something was wrong with my cookies, I went into Control Panel and deleted all cookies, all Temporary Internet Files, and cleared the history. Tried it again, [i] still doesn't work![/i] So, I go to the FAQ and see the topic 'Why Can't I log in?' click it, read it. Tried it again. Doesn't work. I'm sure I'm in the Main site when I try to log in, because I'm always logged in on the fourms, and never logged in on the main site, so I know that the fourms don't automatically hyperlink me into a log in at the Main Site.

The FAC main site and FAC forums are two separate login sessions -- logging in to the FAC main site does not log you in to the forums, neither does logging in to the forums log you in to the main site. You can easily tell if you are logged in to the FAC main page or not because when you are, you will see "Add Fanwork" and "Edit Profile" options on the tabs at the top; when you aren't, you will see "Login" and "Register" instead.

This is one of FAC's oldest and most persistent problems; it seems to happen at random, and refuses to go away. Sadly we have no guaranteed "cure" for this problem -- but here are a few tips:

Make sure that your Internet browser cookies are enabled -- cookies are required to store your login sessions.
Make sure you are using the www.fanart-central.net domain (yes, that's with the hyphen). Alternate spellings of FAC's URL (e.g., "fanart-central.net " or "www.fanartcentral.net") may not always work.
Make sure you are using an up-to-date browser such as IE5, Firefox, NS6, (or newer).
Flush/clear your Internet cache and cookies, then try to log in again.
Quit and restart your Internet browser (and/or computer), then try again.

Sometimes the problem will seem to go away on its own after following one or two of the steps listed above. Lastly, do not panic or assume YOU are to blame for this problem -- it has been around for a very long time; you aren't by far the first to have problems logging in, and you might not be the last one to encounter it either. I know that the main site and fourms are two different login sessions, because I'm always logged in on the fourms, and logged out on the main site, so I always have to log myself in on the main page to add fanwork, edit, leave comments, whatever it is I'm trying to do.

Done all that.. I suppose it is just the Main site?

P.S. I've tried to log on on multiple computers with different I.P. Addresses to make sure my computer's IP didn't get banned. I've also ran a scan for virus's and everything. Nothing has showed up. Restarted computers, nothing.

*Notice the Time says 7:31, look at the time on the next page. Also notice that at the top, the address does read www.fanart-central.net and not just Fanart-central.net

*Now notice how it says to 'Login' again, even though at 7:31 (Now 7:32 in that picture to prove that I'm not going insane..) I tried to login.

Help?

I dont know, it sounds like a cookie problem I dont have anything else to suggest.

I had that problem too. But I just refreshed it after It came back with me not being on it and I was signed on.
