Fac Artist Watch.

Other day was looking through an artist's page, and even left this thought in a comment I made to her. Be neat if there was a artist watch function on here, simular to the way people get emails about there stuff getting comments.

Basic set up, would be simular to Deviant art's system. Where you have some one you favorited, and when they posted new art, or stories, you'd get like a PM or maybe have a speacal page that has the list of new art by people, with in a selectable pirod. 1 day to up to a month. So wouldn't have a huge list of pictures, cause over the months nothing was cleaned out.

Also, could have Area watch, where you can select an area, like Cartoon - Ed Edd and Eddy. And any time a new Eds picture was added to the area, or subfolders of it. It would get listed on that page.

Have maybe a pop up, or chime, or just a red flag on a tool bar. Though need to add a member tool bar for that last one.

Be a bit of work, but think it would make a pretty nice system. So those who have favorite shows and things, but don't want to have to go and look invain every day. Only to see find nothing new is there.

An artist watch system is already planned for future versions of FAC -- current form will be that when you fave an artist, you'll be notified of their submissions automatically.

I do agree on splitting faves and watches though.

And a category watch could be interesting to have as a general feature; it would be even more useful to site staff members as well.

Oh, awesome. Can't wait then.

Mainly figured that people you watch, are not always going to want to see if they have updated. Cause on Deviant art, when I used to be on there. I had alot of favs, saved mostly so I could find again, but only a few were on my watch list.

Maybe they will set up a category watch, some time after the artist watch is perfected. wonder if they'll have a a member tool bar at some point, cause times I just want to see if I got comments on stuff. Just don't want to have to open my email. They could add comment notess to that tool bar list.

fear though, much of what I'm thinking about, is alot like Deviant art's set up. I only hope that here, it would be alot more helpfull, cause Devi's is rether useless. Least when I was there.

Me, on the other hand, I have quite a handful of artists on my dA watch list, but so far only one on my dA "Friends" list.

Yeah, we're still waiting for your latest updates so we can get back to the alpha-testing (hopefully with fewer bugs/things to comment about)
