Recent Stories Page

Strata and other admins, do you guys know why the recent stories page never works?? It's been down for so long...

I know that the last 4, or whatever days' story updates were perhaps a bit much, and the page was almost impossible to load, but please, perhaps jsut the last 2 days, or even one??
It's terribly hard to get press out or somesuch about a story you have when the category it's in has 5 pgs more of stories, most of which probably aren't updated either.....
A recent stories page would really increase the comments and views of stories that people are still working on! It would help so much, so so much....

Please?
I've asked cstdenis a few times about this; if there's a certain reason as to why it won't work, could you at least inform me, and then i'll stop bugging you?

Please, I hope the recent fics will come back up.....
The site is 'fanart' central, but stories are just as important, particularily for people who are better at writing than drawing, but donate equally to the site. :)

There are very serious problems with fanfiction.

When I have time I plan to do a full overhaul of it but I'm busy working on another project.
