Someone Clark loves will die in episode 12 of this season. The show is titled Reckoning. It will be the series' 100th episode.
The events that lead up to this point:
Earlier this season, Jor-El took away his son Clarks powers. Inevitably, Clark had to face a villian, but without his powers. Clark ends up getting killed, by a single gunshot. His father brought him back to life, but not the human Clark, but the kryptonion Kal-El. So his powers are back. That same villian who killed his human form is about to destroy Smallville and everyone in it, with a missle. So Clark agree's to accept his powers back to save Smallville, BUT for Jor-El to do that, he must put his son through another test. This time, in order to save the lives of so many people, Clark has to allow Jor-El to take a single life of someone he holds dear. With time running out, Clark has no choice but to accept. He does.... then goes off to dismantle a missile in outer space B)
Now, the time is coming for Jor-El to take that life he promised.
This is the list of possibilities as to whom it may be.
Loved ones-
Chloe Sullivan (his closest friend)
Jonathan Kent (Clarks father)
Pete Ross (His best friend from past series')
Lana Lang (His love interest)
others-
Lionel Luthor (Lex's pappy)
Lois Lane (Chloes cousin)
Jor-El clearly said it would be someone he loves. So the first list is the most likely. And i ordered them the way i believe who is most likely to go. Anyone i didnt list were characters that don't die this early in Clarks life and characters he doesn't love, except for those two on the second list of course (he has yet to fall in love with Lois Lane)
------------------
I'm already sad about this, and this is the first time i can honestly say i disagree with the direction they are pulling the story into. In the mytho's, his father dies when Clark was around this age. But Chloe is more likely to go since she is the only one who knows his secret identity right now. But when i try to fit the peices together, it seems his father might be the one to die. This is the story so far..
Jonatthan Kent is running for senator of Smallville, his opponent is Lex Luthor. Recently... as in last week, Lex had finally taken a turn for the worst. He is almost officially a villian. Last episode, Lex caught a glimps of his life if he were to give up all his fortune. He didnt like it, so now he has ordered people to make false information to ruin Jonathan's chances at winning the senate race. If you look at it, there is a likely chance that someone can get gravely hurt during this. Would Lex kill for this? right now noone knows for sure, in the future, definatley. But his life is turning to that point where he is just pure evil, he's not completely there yet, but who knows what can happen between now and 2 weeks from now?
it would be sad to see anyone go, all of these characters are either loved from their comic book days or loved as actors in the series.
this is the complete list of character who have any chance at all at dying.
Jonathan Kent
Chloe Sullivan
Lionel Luthor
Lana Lang
Pete Ross
Professor Milton Fine (Braniac)
Martha Kent
Lois Lane
Lex Luthor
Also, it is rumored that there will be two major deaths in the episode. Twice as devestating so any two of those listed can die. Kryptonsite.com has mentioned that it would make sense for both Clark and Lex's fathers to die at the same time. I forget the reasons for this but that would be a better twist. Our hero wont have to go through this alone.
Episode #5-12: "Reckoning" Airing January 26, 2006, on the WB. _________________ "edit : i luv james" - Layzcarter |

Well, logically, it can't be Lex Luther or Lois Lane, cause they're in the movies.
We're ages behind here, only half-way through Season 2.
My brother told me who dies in the episode you speak of.
Just say the word and I'll spoil it. |

Kinda sad, really.

Tonight on it Lex Luther is told Clark has to die...
At least that's what the ad said. |

Hmmm, interesting. So Clark chose true love over parental love, unbeknownst to himself. He should have known his bio-father always has a trick up his sleeve, the sly Kryptonian dawg ^^
A very sad ending to a long fulfilling life, that Mr. Kent. Strange how he died, though. What ever could it have been in that photo that was so damaging to the Kents, that it was able to make Mr. Kent peel over and die? I don't know where the two Kents can go from here....all alone, without that father-figure protecting them. Very nice ending, nonetheless.....ever so sadden'd.
I only have one question
......since when does it snow in Kansas?! _________________ Pie? |

damn, i am literally sad
one of the best episodes so far. He took a risk, noone would ever have known the alternative would be even a worse loss. But anyone would have taken that risk if it were to keep someone you love that much. It's hard to wonder how the show will go on now. He was a fan favorite. If anything, knowing he can still be apart of the show by directing episodes helps. _________________ "edit : i luv james" - Layzcarter |

He was a fuckin' "Good ol' Boy", who hung the confederate flag high....why get rid of main characters, eh? Why not Chloe? She ain't in the DC Universe....
I mean, that black kid disappeared with no explanation. You kno, Clark's best friend.
Anyways, I hope they give Impulse his own show, as I keep reading rumours about. I loved that episode, solely because I heart anything and anyone related to The Flash.....even the thief, Impulse.
......he's gonna be inspired to become a hero like Spider-Man or Batman, now. I guess that's cool....i guess

Yep. Another close person, too.
I'm not 100% sure if it actually happens, but I think so.
It was a good one, but I still hate being so far behind
Even the DVDs are further than the TV show |
