Newbie Thread

Hello fellow FACers, and welcome to a new edition of FAC suggestions! :woot:

My sugegstion today is: Don't you think that the newbie thread at the "general discussion" area of the forum, should be deleted? Most of the information in it is unuseful, almost no-one posts in it anymore, we have the "Sandbox" that helps drain out the newbies before they enter the main forum and does a better job at teaching the newbs the way of FAC, the newbie thread is 100+ page long and it takes much space of the forum, and for those reasons I think it should be deleted.

Now, what is YOUR opinion on this?

I don't think so at all. I just got out of the sandbox and it helped me out. All the people there were realy friendly. If it wasn't around I would of been confused when first coming here. It helps the members who truelly want to join feel more comfortable and gets rid of the ones that don't.

I think deleting it is a good idea. Like Avy said, it's too large and nothing in there is really useful.
However, if people still want it around, we could always just delete the current one and then start a new one in it's place.

delete the newbie thread.. it serves no purpose

but leave the photo threads be... the reason they are kept up is becaus some people like to glance back at the old pictures

I think that all posts without pictures in the photo thread should get deleted, but that is another thread....

I am not sure but I think there is also a photobucket account with all FAC pictures..... maybe adding all the pictures from photos 1 and 2 to the PB account and posting the link in the initial photos 3 post could lower the wasted disk space.

that photobucket page only has a select few from the first photo thread though

make a new one avy... with [b]all[/b] of the pictures
