Textbook Illustrations?

This person's submissions just confuse me. First we have an amateurish animated gif:

But then, we have something that's supposedly a port in Argentina, but looks like one of those historical pictures you'd find in a textbook.

And here's a lovely illustration of Central Park... I have no idea why the picture saved so small though. o_o;

I don't suppose these look familiar to anyone?

Oh, and on a rather unrelated note, are photomanips like the following allowed on FAC?

I've already told the user our rule against photomanips and noted for FAC abuse & AP teams to keep an eye on them.

and then what, I was merely wondering who approved them, since if you look at their gallery (in case of this one, you can trace back their galleries) it's usually their first pictures. Do you have to take everything I say in such negative tone?

Stop pointing fingers to yourself, I honestly don't care which AP member let it go.

Edit: I know it's on our website somewhere.. just gotta find it.. on the huge thing... -.-

Edit 2: Apparently, it has been removed from our website. I'll ask the webhead in charge of our school website for the original artist.
