No. No, you don't. They did that for the second game because of that exact complaint, and it turned out to be a complete disaster.

It's better off spending shitloads of money on amazingly awesome music that plays periodically than mediocre music that plays all the time. Besides, the effect of the music for only cutscenes made the cutscenes more amazing and enveloping because it gave a serious, "special" air to them.

Are you kidding me? The Patriarch was simple! I didn't even have to use any support magic! I just combo'd him about three times or so (Jr./chaos/Jin) for each "life" (as you put it) and BAM! Dead. Wasn't nearly as difficult as the Cathedral was for me. 8D

The combo system in XS2 is pure s**t, but once you get the hang of it everything becomes easy like ass.

But I use KOS-MOS, Shion, and Ziggy.
Let's see stock everyone to 3 stock and attack and boost. Plus im at level 40 that may be the reason! Grr!

I know utilize Air and Down Status too see I know how to use combos! Smile

[i]Both[/i] KOS-MOS and Ziggy. Dude. No wonder you keep getting raped. Two slow-as-ass characters on a team with no support magic = rape eight different ways.

Although I still believe that if you were really good with the combos, you woudn't keep getting raped. I can keep my combos going for tonnes of turns. 8D One combo alone took out at least 1/3 - 1/2 of his HP, first round.

Damn, baby. I saw the latest trailer for Xenosaga III and good lord, did this one ever have spoilers. they weren't even trying to be sneaky this time. We see the White Testament completely remove his mask revealing - though we already know - Albedo. Similarly, there's s scene of a confrontation between Shion and the Red Testament, who also removes his mask turning out to be Kevin. But who's the Black Testament? D:

Of course, there's more scenes of T-ELOS completely kicking KOS-MOS' ass. Razz

But I think the best part of the trailers is the fact that YES THE AWESOME MUSIC IS BACK. Lovely. Absolutely lovely. ...Perhaps. Sounds A LOT like Kajiura's stuff, so it might just be the music that plays during the cinematics like in XS2. And for those of you who've missed the Gnosis in Episode II, they're back. Very Happy

Also, a URTV is fighting Canaan? Perhaps that's Citrine! :0 As much as I hate to, I may have to replay XS2 before XS3 comes out. :0 Unfortunately, this trailer shows little of chaos or Wilhelm. There's definitely something up with them if they're willing to drop spoilers about everyone else, but not them. :0

Anyway.

I finished watching the Xenosaga anime yesterday. Just as I'd remembered, it was mediocre and the animation could have used a lot of work. But then again, it's not like they had the richest sponsors, so... And chaos got like, what, a whole ten lines in the entire series. D: Wilhelm had about three. :/ Then again, those were pretty high-end voice actors, Hoshi Souichirou and Mirodikawa Hikaru, respectively.

Hm~ If they make a sequel that goes over episodes 2 and 3, I sure hope they'll be a bit better.

Ah, XSII. I can't play the game. I just can't. I'll go to play it, but after like, 5 minutes, I'll get bored and pop in DMC or RE. Is there anyway I could just watch all the cutscenes and then be ready for XSIII?

I don't think there is a way to do that. But I usually skip some. Only way you could do that is playing the game over again but...like you said you get bored.

LOL yah, that game sucks ass compared to the first.

Assuming Namco does what they did with XS1's cutscenes, you could just preorder XS3 for the promo dvd they release with XS2's cutscenes on it. :]

Or you could just watch trailers of XS3 and try to piece together the information that way. Or better yet, just go looking for spoilers. God knows nothing happened in that game anyway; the entire plot centered around Jr. and Albedo's relationship (as well as Jr.'s relationship with Sakura, Mizrahi's deceased daughter). Boring. And pretty much irrelevant to the main plot with Shion and KOS-MOS. Neutral

Anything you learn in the final scene can be gathered from watching XS3 trailers. Not that you need to; I've already spoiled it like eight times - Albedo is the White Testament, yadda yadda. Etc.

Nope. That was trickery on Namco's part. What happened was that Wilhelm was in a meeting with the Testaments when White Testament appeared, and for some awful reason it sounded like it was chaos - the White Testament's voice, that is. <<; However, he takes off his mask in the XS3 trailers, and it's clearly Albedo. :|

Next to nothing is still known about chaos and Wilhelm, so that's why I'm looking so forwards to XS3 - considering it's the last game in the saga, I want some answers. Neutral
