im not sure if this is supposed to be in a different topic or not
I've noticed that lots of people have been taking art from other websites, tracing it, and claiming it as their own, this is plaigerism, but im not sure if they can do it or not,
there was one girl before, who traced the art completley out of a manga book titled
"the complete idiots guide to drawing manga" and drew three pictures out of that, there was another person who took a picture from a website (im not sure if i should name it or not) and traced it.
is this illigle????? or not?
please write your views. _________________ Hurhur. Yeah that's right. |

Tracing isn't accepted. But it's not always easy to prove they have traced. When you think someone has traced, email abuse@ctgameinfo.com with the link to the users image and a link to the original. If you can't find an image of the original online, then let us know which book it is from and we can check it out.
Sometimes the person hasn't traced at all, but has used a reference for every part of their image. That's fine if they have used official art, but when they use a reference from another fanart, user, or website etc.. they need to give credit to the reference.
Once again just email abuse with any possible tracings and we check into it. _________________ |
