how many hikaru books were made

Hikaru No Go. Sounds like a Manga. If so, this belongs in the anime/manga section.

It is manga
Well can't really blame ya.......you're new but.....still you should know that Books and Manga are different.
Books- may contain pictures but ussally nothing jappanese made
manga- jappanese made.

Books- may contain pictures, usually has nothing to do with anime/manga.
Manga- jappanese made comics. Sometimes reads from left to right even in america.
Anime- jappenese made animated shows/movies.

Whatever......I meant I was trying to say they are different!
