The new and improved fanart central

what do you think? i was just wondering...it was like a sneak attack for me... i go to fanart, and everything took on a deviant art look O_O

took me a while to navigate... emails that people submitted art surprised me... and i had to agree to the rules...again... it takes longer to load too...

but i think its pretty cool! what do you guys think about it?

its ok i like this new look its just really new and we lost all our post counts. years of stuff doing it to get higher and higher.

is it a bad thing that i absolutely despise this type of forum layout? i was actually talking to a friend a while ago, he used this type and i suggested changing it, and to give him an example i showed him FAC, because i liked the layout and design so much.... Crying or Very sad

I freakin' hate it. I don't like the way it looks, I don't like the way it's set up. Post counts have been reset. Different smileys. I just plain don't like it. It's a big step in the wrong direction if you ask me.

I mean, why mess with a good thing?

Yes i'm a little annoyed at the slower speed and the new emotes but i'm sure the site will pick back up again. Just stop moaning and think about the trouble Denis had sorting all of this out.

how are you apart of a community if you can't even go with the changes? we're all in this together, we are all affected by it, it's just that some are better at dealing with things out of their control. While others bitch.

fac needed to be upgraded. there were new and better features denis wanted you all to have. to make fac better. and it's better. the only problem is the transition in becoming better. we're in this transition now. everything will be back to normal soon. fuck, its only been two days, calm down. it will get better, not because you want it to, but because it was made to.

For starters, we didn't have a way to feature actual GOOD artwork on the site....

Many of the other things 'wrong' with it were more on a site-staff level, such as users who kept trying to sort their artwork under master headings (such as the ever-popular Anime/Manga heading) just to draw attention to themselves. Or the fact that we have like 3 Sonic categories (under Anime, Cartoons, and Games) for what is essentially a single franchise... and difficulty processing some abuse reports....

Anyway, we have an official poll/thread about this in the Site Discussion area, if you need a place to vent, go and use it.
