Favorite Artists Alert. Help with this please.

Well, I have to say, I really do love the artist alerts, as now I don't have to check up on all of the people by scrolling through favorites.
But unfortunately, I've got at least over a hundred people on my favs [or somewhere around there] and though for many of them I really do love their art and all, I don't really check up on them and comment on their every pic.

But since this thing's doing it for all fav artists, I'm now getting from 20-60+ emails per day, and it's mostly just turning into spam. O_O

I do have people [and quite a few] that I do check up on on the other hand, and I don't want to just disable the feature, as then I wouldn't be able to know when they updated, and I find time to check up on them all to be harder and harder to do.

So I was wondering... if sometime soon, as I also don't think I'm the only person with this problem, if you could possibly set up an 'enable and disable' option for fav artists, so you can choose which ones you want to get email alerts from.
It'd really help out a lot, and if this feature's already on the way, well then, all the better. :3

You're one of the few to actually speak up about liking the overall layout in the past few days.

I second this, we should be a distinction between "faved" and "watched" artists (to use dA's terms).

(Either that or you [b]really[/b] need to review+prune your faves )

sounds like something i'd like to. but i've only gotten like 2 email alerts from my faves. still, i'd like to only get alerts from the few artists i really do love, not everyone on my list.

i'm not sure how difficult it would be to have this added. maybe another section of faved artists for only the members you want to be emailed from, thay can still be included with the faved artist section, yet you choose them to be [i]alerted favorites[/i] instead of just favorites.

Well, you guys have got enough people bitching, right, strata?
I honestly don't mind the new layout so much, it'll just take some getting used to. You guys worked hard on this, and I really do like the new features. :3

So, how soon do you think stuff like this can get up? because I'm still getting the emails all the time, and it's like a new version of spam. XD

Well, yes, but it wouldn't be very fair for the other artists to get removed from my list, and it's kinda become a collection to me. :3
I do love their art, but some people post, what, 3x a day [btw, the limit's been down I think, as there've been people posting at least 5 times in one day since the new layout's up, might want to look into this] and I just really don't need the emails. Some have actually become spam on their own.
Plus, it's a pain to filter through them for which ones are alerts for MY pictures receiving comments, and then deleting all the rest. XP

So, sooner the better. unfocused had a pretty good suggestion, and it shouldn't be too hard to set up, ne?
And, yes, it's better to 'pick out' artists to enable the alerts, rather than disable for all of the others. XD That would take forever.
