Yet Again...Another failure to Receive Validation Email

Like stated above, I didn't receive my validation nor did a friend of mine, Kiminess. I use the email moonlight.sinner@yahoo.com It hasn't come nor has it showed up in my spam. I'm not sure what's going on but by the look of things a lot of people are having this problem as well.

One of yahoo's mail servers [b]mx1.mail.yahoo.com[/b] replied "[b]ok dirdel[/b]" to the message when FAC sent it. According to yahoo's help page, this means the message was received successfully

That doesn't make sense. I didn't receive it, I never got it, this is the only site that I'm not getting confermation emails. I can get the regular email for passwords, if I can't get an email through yahoo and try something else what will happen to my ID? I want this one. Furthermore other people are having this same problem with other emails so that's not going to solve my problem. You say its yahoo's fault? What about the other emails as well? Is that their problem too? I'm not trying to be snippy or anything I'm just curious and I have no idea what is going on. =/ Its frustrating, though I'm not directing this at you or anyone else. I just don't understand. The comments I made were not intended to be rude, and I don't see them as such... But I"m not sure how other people will take it. I just don't understand what's going on its not in my bulk and it was never received.

I tried two yahoo addresses and gmail as well. It failed, but when I went and signed up for a hotmail account it was accepted. I think what may have happened was this. For anyone out there who is using yahoo or gmail, someone must have posted it as SPAM and the servers from yahoo and gmail are now blocking your attempts. At least this is what I think is going on, there were problems like that before with other sites I went to. ^^ Now I can submit and comment. I hope this helps others too!

Thanks MoonlightSinner, That actually helps ME out a lot; I was having the same issues as countless other new members, and honestly 'support' around here wasn't exactly helping Rolling Eyes

...anyhoo, I'll try hotmail, but I've read others say it doesn't validate w/ that email acct. either...well, it's worth a try--thanks again!

I have to agree with you on that one Lostecho, all I got was that it was yahoo's problem. That didn't help me so I went and just tried hotmail seeing as its a more stable provider.

...when I tried my hotmail acct., It still won't send me a 2nd--or 1st, for that matter-- validation email. Does anyone know why? Or better yet, what to do next?

I assume a spam problem as well, but if its a spam problem Yahoo's mail server should return an error message insted of "ok dirdel" so I dont really know for sure.

Can someone PLZ tell me why, o why the link to re-sending the validation email does NOT WORK?? On every browser (I checked them all) all I get is an error message of some sort. Now that I've set my spam filter down to the lowest setting (ugh) and can receive the password recover email (so I know fanart-central can email me), I'd like to try to have it resent.

Please, anyone who can help
