Samurai Champloo: Sidetracked

Ok, I just got my allowance and I'm about ready to blow it all on a VG this weekend. I am really partial to the new SC game, but I don't know if it's any good or "worth it". I read reviews on numerous sites, but I don't buy into those funky game reviewers reviews. I like to go straight to the gamers.

So, anyone that has it or has played it, do you think it's worth the money? Or should I just go ahead and by the DMC 3 Special Edition Greatest Hits?

Buy Devil May Cry. Games based off of anime tend to suck really bad. If you get the chance you should just rent it-- chances are you'll be able to beat it within the time you're borrowing it.

I dunno. I think i'd rather play a game based on an anime I love to death, rather then completely obliterate my thumbs trying to traverse in the DMC Universe......besides, I just bought DMC 3 for like 8 bucks on eBay! HAZAY!

I have no idea what you are talking about. At any rate, Samurai Champloo is a rather decent game. I garantee you, if you like the anime then you'll love the game! It looks more gritty than the anime, possibly because of the lack of cel-shading. Mugen's the majority heart-throbber! Jin's ok, i guess.....if you swing that way.

I've never seen Samurai Champloo so I can't comment. If you liked the series alot, sure, buy the game. Most of these professional reviewers have never seen the animes these things are based off of, anyway. o_O So you'll definetly get a different experience.

Oh yeah, the game's pretty sweet. It's like playing an ancient chinese version of Killer 7. It also has a Kill Bill feel to it, with the sillohette 100 warriors battles. I think I made a pretty good decision, thank you very much!
