About the new reply system for comments

denis, first off, I'd like to say that it's an awesome system. And the way the reply stands out, so you know what it is... cool.
Unfortunately, I notice that it's also counted as a new comment each time... and I'm not so sure that that should apply. I mean, if it's an important new notice from the artist, okay, but you can see it, and it'd be more like an editation than an actual new comment. Plus, some artists will take this as a chance to abuse the system to rack up more comment counts.

Just wondering, maybe the system should only apply to comments given by someone besides the artist themselves.

And, as well, you should be careful to make sure this doesn't become some form of a chat, as some people might start using the images as such...

Ya, chat is a potential problem but that happens anyway. At least now it'll be better formatted chat.

As for abuse to raise comment count -- well, comment count is not really a paticularily meaningful number so I dont see any real abuse possability there.
