About Validation Emails...

I noticed that a lot of people had to re-validate their emails.
First off, I'm kind of wondering why.

Secondly, you guys should put a link to the revalidation page somewhere on FAC, because I know that plenty of the members never have and never will step into the forums.
Could help, as there's been some trouble already with the emails.

Linking the revalidate page from the "not validated" notice would certainly help the issue.

The worry there is that people will keep clicking it because they are impatient causing problems because the older emails will become invalidated.

It will have to be worded very carefully.

Also, anyone using a prefetch based optmizer will have problems along those lines.

State the fact [that they shouldn't click more than once] in big, bold, caps letters. Very Happy

Actually, if the revalidate page was just a page [i]describing[/i] the revalidate function, with a link or button to click on (and [i]that[/i] sends the e-mail), that could also work.

For example:
