Why doesn't my profile pic show up?

Why doesn't my profile pic show up? I've tried changing it a few times and none of my pics work. Crying or Very sad

I just get that stupid little white box with an X.

The same thing is happening to me they havent helped me with that yet its happening to ALOT of people this is BULL.... Evil or Very Mad

I can't seem to upload any profile picture. i tried putting up plenty of other pictures even till the smallest and it still won't show!

Yeah, I got it, too. I guess Admin will fix it whenever, seeing how it's not really a high priority.

I thought someone(Mod or adim or something) said that it was a bug or whatever...... It may be a cache bug(Spelling?? I'm sure I have no idea what I'm talking about...) and it may fix itself over time...

We're not sure exactly what's causing this error. If you would like to help investigate, then do some experiments yourself, but please provide this sort of information:

- Image filename / filetype
- Image dimensions (in pixels)
- Did it work? (e.g., new pic appeared, did not appear, got red 'X' placeholder, error message, etc.)
- Check back on your profile after a day and look again (to rule out caching issues).

The more information we have, the better we'll be able to figure out what went wrong.

I'll be looking into it soon, the information Strata requested will help track down the problem.

In the mean time, a work around it to upload the image to something like photobucket and put it in your profile with the [img] tag.

Running one test now.

Filename: 09-12_sketch_okami_75.jpg
Type: Greyscale JPEG, 420x360
Results: No apparent change. Checking the HTML source just to be certain, I notice that the image tag [i]is[/i] specified, but....
[list]<img src="profiles//9889[color=red][b]..[/b][/color]jpg" style="" align="middle">[/list:u]
The correct image name is [url=www.fanart-central.net/profiles/9889.jpg]9889[color=blue][b].[/b][/color]jpg[/url] (which does work, btw).

The image was uploaded fine, it just wasn't being displayed properly.
