MySpace is... lolz, that'd be offensive to say, haha. Apparently your e-penis is measured by the number of "friends" you have listed, lol. :l I think there's better entertainment out there than reading inane drivel written by people severely lacking in writing skill on equally poorly designed pages. ;(
I've never been much of one for sonic. If this discussion includes manga as well, I can't really comment because all the stuff I read is in Japanese, so no one else would know about them. :[
Mm, 4-koma's pretty good. 8D One of my favorite types; puns are awesome, what are you talking about? D: |

Yes, and the small text from that moderator guy is incorrectly wrong.....just thought I'd point that out
But yeah, if you have a story to tell us about a japanese comic, or any comic, feel free to publish your comment in this particular topic....so we can all read what you think |

No, actually. It's not, really. American comics generally make use of extreme detail in their comics. Cybersix, while still detailed, makes a lot more use of shadows and contours, especially in the night scenes, as well as some radical angles.
BUT... the same could be said of people's art styles in general.
I think your problem is that it seems like you have a tendency to label something as either "manga" or "american comics". :0

I think in this, the 'Foreign comics' should also come into play. French comics in general tend to have a different look from American comics. Example: This is a series based off of a comic book. They stayed true to the style by using thick lines and lines on the nose, etc. French comic book "The Delta State/Delta Phase". Also, you'll notice that the Cybersix comics have oddly stylized faces and things, but it seems that the foreign comics have odd looking characters. _________________ |

I don't know much about manga or foreign comics, but I'll be sure to look up the titles previously mentioned. As for American comics, any stories from Frank Miller, Jeph Loeb, Alan Moore, Mark Millar, and Paul Jenkins are definitely worth reading. Of course there are others, these are just off the top of my head. |

I love Marvel Comics. I recently just got interested in their ultimate line of comics. Ultimate Spider-Man is deadly and Brian Michael Bendis is a great writer. But in the ultimate universe, everybody seems to hhave seen him unmasked or know who he is. It's crazy. Normal Spidey never let that many people know until of course the event in civil war which I don't want to spoil for people who didn't read it yet. |

"The Footsoldiers" is one of my favorites... It got cancelled after the third compiled volume... but I though it was frickin' awsome. It restored my faith in the American comic book industry.
Let's see... what else do I like... "The Runaways" put out by Marval is pretty sweet. I also like going back and reading the old "Young Justice" and "Impulse" comics put out by DC. Those amuse me to no end. |

Marvel 1602. Neil Gaiman wrote it, it had to be awesome. And it was.
I'm currently trying to get ahold of the Cable/Deadpool marvel series. |
