Oh god, yesterday was terrible. I spent the day before cramming in around 3k words for my friend's story (which actually came out all right so far) and I didn't get to write down a SINGLE word of my NaNo story.
I made up for it yesterday.

Lemme tell you, scrapping up 3.2k words in one day completely without a decent plot left at all (that 35k pep talk was wrong! ;A; ) was a pain in the ass. Direly.

And now I'm just blubbering about, shoving in random details and whatnot AGAIN.
Because I can't think of anything better. The, the, the lame drama and the fluff and stuff really pisses me off now. >>;

I'm gonna finish this.

It's just not gonna be too pretty. XD

Good for you, Stef! Very Happy That is super-good.
Like you could go about shouting at every "HAY GUESS WHAT STEF WROTE HER STORY ABOUT? THAT'S RIGHT, HOMOSEXUALITY. IT WAS REALLY BAD. LET'S LAUGH."
*laughs* I'm serious when I say that homosexuality doesn't scare me. I read the story for the idea--not the "OMG GAYDAR!" type stuff. I'll read anything and everything for personal enjoyment as well as critiquing. If you don't want me to review, hey, that's fine, but just remember that homosexuality doesn't frighten me. It's the content that counts.
Maybe you, Writer, but then I feel all embarressed. This is kinda the first time I've offered to have my stuff beta'd. ^^;
I understand. But don't be spooked; I've seen some of your stuff and it's great. Of course, you and Ian interact more frequently on the story-scale than I do, but I wouldn't mind perusing through it if you wanted me to.
t's sad to hear that you stopped NaNo... it is quite of a hard thing to do though, really. :/ (not to mention my multi-tasking)
But I suppose it's easier since I'm still in high school and I'm a kid with an OCD about getting all my homework done (or as much as possible) before I insomuch as get home. XD
Yah. I'm a little bummed I threw in the towel, but it taught me a valuable lesson.

Lolz. I which I could be so OCD about my homework--for AP I don't even do my essays until, like, the night before. Sometimes I do it beforehand, but even then my brain is lacking the...impetus to move forward with work. I still am shocked that I'm not, like, a 'D' student considering how often I pull last-minute-OMG-PANIC! homework deals. Hey, maybe I'm lucky...

What class are you, Trinity? I'm a sophomore this year.

WELL: How did your stories go (both of you), what have you learned, and what do you plan to do in the future?

I'm currently a Junior in high school. :< A-Are you a sophomore in high school, Writer??? D: You'll make me feel dumb if you say you are...

And, uh, Stef?

GOOD JOB!! WAI!
...But I'm gonna keep on moping until I manage to figure out something to do for my own. Procrastinator to the limit. XD

I'm so stuck right now. My characters are lounging around and doing nothing but occasionally hitting on each other or eating or the one threatening the other. XD
While the MC continues thinking. About everything and nothing.
It's terrible. X<

I'm at 45k.

FINAL STRETCH! ::dashes madly::

I'll check with Astri, Writer. and if not, maybe you can beta mine.
I'll feel special then. Surprised

Congratulations on finishing, you guys... *thumbs up!* 8D

It's a pity I never finished, but I suppose that's to be expected. Can't finish any books or video games or art... My attention span is completely and utterly shot. XD;

Maybe next year~ Everyone tells me that first year university is relatively easy, so... yah. XD;

Aww, Fayore. I'm sure you can do it if you can just start off right. Just remember it for next year and plan ahead a little. XD
The deadline works miracles. I'd never imagined that I could write 50k words in 30 in days. It's amazing. It can probably even work on someone like you, as long as you don't let yourself drop too far behind. Reach for a daily minimum that'll keep you on track.

And Writer...

...You're younger than I am.
Oh dear lord~
I have to say, you are unbelievably, well, mature-sounding and all. Heck, I don't even sound that mature. D: (I don't even have a better word than 'mature' that expresses what I want to say.)

And... maybe, sometime, you can beta that story for me. But as of now, I've still got to finish it. XD I've still got plenty to cover.
...Hope I can even work on it at all without a deadline and all. Heh.

::jumps up and down:: But, I'm still quite hyped-up about it and all. I feel so accomplished! Oh lordy~

Anyway. I've got poor advice. All I can say is, I found my 50k through detail, detail, and more detail. XD Every time someone speaks, it's punctuated by 'he said' or whatever, along with a million tiny gestures or movements or blinks of the eye or thoughts.
It's a bad habit of mine. XD

And I can never just say, 'they ate dinner and it was good'. I give you six paragraphs of who-knows-what with enough random details and descriptions to make you sick. I'm afraid this story of mine will be quite boring.

But I got the 50k~! 8D

It just works if you're really nicely inspired. I was starting to peter (sp??) out at around 40k, but I managed to keep it going.
Slap down your daily dosage of words (1.6 or 2 k, whichever) then leave it alone. Go back over it the next day, tidy it up (this usually ends up with me adding another 200 words or so somehow XD) and then scrap up another daily minimum.
I find that charting the to-be-reached-number every day helps. Along with notes.
...I take notes for my own writing. :<

Otherwise though, I've really not much else to say. But good luck for ya all next year~
