I like to check up on the Contests section regularly, but you do not need [b]my[/b] permission to host one. All you basically need to do is start a new topic that mentions:

- A summary of what the contest and its objective (goal) is about.
- A set of ground rules. Rating limits, # of entries, etc.
- The final deadline for entry.

Was thinking about a contest of 'who can draw the best evil super hero'
What that means is like drawing an evil version of superman or spyro or somethin'

No, all you got to do is read these two threads carefully, Strata closes so many contests only because the ones who start them miss some aspects of contest hosting that is contained in these threads.

I see, but you don't need anyone's permission. When it comes to overseeing contests, we have several members who'll point out if something is missing, I usually don't do much actual work here beyond checking up on the new topics from time to time; occasionally there's a contest with no structure at all that I'll shut down the thread for, but that's about it.
