New comic/manga feature

I opened a thread at the "category requests" section (perhaps this was the wrong section for my request, in this case I'm very sorry).

When the admin responsed to me, he locked the thread too early, so that I had no chance to give my comment to his answer and to clear up the misunderstanding. ;__;

Thus I try to explain my request in here a better way.

First, I wrote:

With category, I don't mean the two subcategories
[i]- Anime/Manga > Original > Original Doujinshi[/i]
and
[i]- Comics > Original Comics[/i]
because they handle the comic pages the same way like single artworks.

What I mean is a main category!
Before you browse within the categories, there are three buttons on the top: "Pictures", "Stories" and "Links". Now, there could be a 4th button called "Comics".
The difference to the picture gallery would be the possibility to leaf forward and back, to create chapters and to comment the whole comic work (not only every single page). And there should not be a thumbnail for every single page, but just one thumbnail per comic/manga (eg. the cover image).

Please, have a look at paperdemon(dot)com or theotaku(dot)com, who created new comic sections, recently. These are very good examples for how a comic section could look like.^__^

I apologize for my bad English.^^;; I hope you understood a little bit what I mean nevertheless.

There is already some plans for something like this, but the difficulty is in implementation and backwards-compatibility.

I'm very happy to hear this. Such a project is alot of work for sure! I wish you much success to proceed and resolve the mentioned problems.

It was like half programmed at launch, but I had to launch without it because I couldn't keep delaying the launch.

Changes since then have probebly mostly broken what I did have programmed.

but it will get finished someday.

Easiest path (at least where backwards compatibility is concerned) would probably be integrating it into the un-implemented "Gallery section" feature.

No, they are considered a special type of picture (like flash animations)
