Bully -- is it really that bad?

When reviews of this game first came out people presumed it was a 'bad' game because of the title BULLY

I have read in a lot of the PS2 magazines that people arent happy with the game but if you think about it the game is set in a high school ans bullying does that happen in high schools.. There are always kids that reckon there 'hard' and bigger than everyone else ( CHAVS )...

So anyone else who has the game .. What do you think?

The the 'Mericas they call this game Bully. T'is a darn neat li'l game. However, it is more rough and unrealistic in multiple palces and ways. It's going tog et controversy simply because of the Manhunt controversies that got a half-decent game crashed from the market. Ever since, controversy has surrounded GTA. In short: At the rate that games are becomnig mroe and mroe realistic, in mroe and more realistic settingsa and ways, the controversy there'll be.

Besides...Where woudl Rockstar be without Co ntroversy. Very Happy

Yeah, the Latin is Canis Canem Edit.

The 'Edit' seems somewhat appropriate. But we just call it Bully, in GAME stores if you go in and ask for Bully, you'll get Canis Canem Edit. It was the European Standards Council or something that weren't gong to sell a game with that name. There's where most of your controversy came from.

They probably didn't take the time to play it properly, and passed it straight onto the Video Games Standards Council Europe. But they sell San Andreas without a problem... Confused

Their problem was that it encouraged bullying. It honestly doesn't. But why should the name change anything...Bah it's a circular argument.

With a name like ' Bully' people probably thought like you just said that It encouraged bullying but the game can be played in two different ways...

You either Go to all your lessons and get the girl

and Im afraid its lot more complicated than just dont like dont buy, theres alot of trash out there who dont care if there kids buy the game or not and in effect kids who are basically raised on bad TV rather than the word of God end up as criminal's.
