You are the second person to report this error. If the piece appears in your "Pictures" gallery (not the "Pending" tab), then it has already been processed and approved by staff.

I'm curious about one thing, did you at any point try viewing the picture while it was still pending approval (i.e. on the "Pending" tab) ?

It could affect caching, if so it should clear itsself out in time.

I had the same issue... Here is what I did...

Go to the top of the screen when you are on a window/browser for the internet... You should see [FILE] [EDIT] [VIEW] [FAVORITES] [TOOLS] [HELP] at the top of the screen.

Go to Tools>>Click on INTERNET OPTIONS>>Make sure you are on the GENERAL TAB... there should be a subcategory that says something like "Temporary Internet Files." In that section you should see some buttons that say DELETE COOKIES and DELETE FILES... Click on one of these at a time. Each time you click on them, wait for the hourglass icon to disappear... You can also go down to the subcategory History and click on CLEAR HISTORY... After you have done this and the hourglass icon goes away, click OK at the bottom of the tab window. That might help you.

From my experience that happens because "cookies" remember what the old information was and you need to clear that cache out to free up memory and to get out the old junk once in a while.

It worked for me after I did it...

Yes, that's precisely what happened the last time, too.
