|
|
A few times in the past weeks, I have tried to edit some of my pictures for various reasons, such as adding to the descriptioin or making a more precise title. The change is there when the pic is edited, but when I go to it later, the page is back to the way it was before I changed it. If I changed the title, it will appear that way in my gallery/in the category, but when the pic is viewed it is the old title again. I have tried refreshing, changing my cookie settings, and my browser cache settings, but nothing is helping. It seems if I want to edit someting I have to put a new picture up.
I also had a similar problem when trying to change an image file. I uploaded an unfinished piece and later tried to replace it with the finished one, but all that changed was the unfinished piece stretched to the size of the finished one (did that make sense?). It was back to the way it was when I came back later. I double-checked the image file and such, but there were no problems.
Is this happening to anyone else? Or is it just my computer? Any help/ideas/comments would be appriciated. |

Caching problems can be a sticky issue, because not only does your Internet browser save a copy of the page viewed, the FAC servers tend to save a copy of it as well. Doing a Ctrl+Refresh generally helps for browser-side caching problems, but serverside caching problems take a little longer to be resolved. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

I know it's a bit trying on the patience, but it can take up to 3-5 days sometimes... Just keep checking your pending tab in your gallery... If something is there, you will know it hasn't gotten through Approvals yet. If it's gone, it usually means either that it's now in your gallery (make sure your filters are set properly: if you submit something that is violent, but have no violence on your filters, you probably won't see it). If it's not in your gallery, check your email (or junkmail sometimes it shows up there if your computer thinks it's not protected)... _________________ I believe in the Force... I use a blaster... |

I checked the submissions queue a little while ago, it was nearly 600 submissions spanning an entire week. Looks like it just got backed up again. Seems to happen a lot near and during weekends. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

That could explain it too. Thanks, guys.
Added: The Ctrl+refresh is working. Thanks for the tip, Stratadrake! |
