Approval queue and member list questions.

A. I know I will now sound like a whining baby. But it has been *counts days* I think, maybe 3 days now, and my pictures have not uploaded.

But what about that counter? Where did that go? Is there any way to see about the time it will take to be approved? Because there are some contests I've entered, and they have deadlines.

and

B. The member list, you can't in any way search a name instead of having to search through all numbers 1-43 under a letter, can you?

For the member list thing, do you mean for the forums or the main site?
Your pictures are prob in the approval line, with many others. Depends on who's doing the approvals and how fast their going, plus theres a fair amount of new members that are trying to upload their stuff too. Your pictures will have to go through the approval panel until you get given auto approval. In your gallery theres a tab saying 'pending', click on that button to see what pictures are still waiting to be approved. If they don't get approved you'll get an email and will be told why it hasn't gone through.

Ok I know that, but whatever happened to the counter on the add fanwork page?

Woah! I'm sorry! I really didn't want to mean anything bad!! I'm just wondering about that counter, like what was it, and stuff, because I wasn't here when it was here, so just wondering what it was, I think you guys are doing just fine!! In fact, you guys approved 4of my pics today!! That's awesome!!

I wonder, is the approval queue number a cached counter or a count() enum? I notice it's been removed from the submissions page as well.

count()'s are expensive in postgresql. in the Ap its a num_rows() returned by the query.
