How to learn how to draw.
Step 1: Draw your picture.
Step 2: Find the part(s) of your picture that need the most work.
Step 3: There are several different methods you can use here.
Method 1: Tracing. Find pictures of was you are trying to draw, even photos will work. (HINT: try different angles, shapes, sizes, etc.)
Method 2: Tutorials. Follow all the steps in a tutorial of what you want know how to draw.
Method 3: Copying. Simply look at pictures/photos of you trying to draw and try to copy them.
Method 4: Draw what you see. (this method could also be used as a way to get ideas)
Step 4: Find which method works best for you.
Step 5 (optional): If none this this helps ask me or another artist for help.

I think another maathod would be just to draw what you see. like mabe 10 min out of your day just sit down and draw the first thing that you see. It'll add data to your "tools for your toolbox" . The more you draw, the more developed your brain and eye will be. works for all types of art wheither it's cartooning or realizim. |

This is useful but also one of the reasons why it's so hard for me to draw 'from my imagination.' I tend to draw everything I see or from photographs, same with paintings.
So when I try to be creative and make something up of my own, it always looks odd.
Maybe I should just get a job doing medical illustrations?
Oops why did I double post? O.o; Oh well. I guess I'll find something useful to say:
I think I recall finding a book for those with issues similar to mine (see below post) called the "Matrix" drawing system. It helps those who lack creativity for their own characters by mixing a variety of random things together to form a character.
Matrix system:

Also this is a very useful book to get inspiration from:
