Yeah i more than agree with most of this, and feel plenty of your pain. Before we finally got hi-speed i was like a floating leaf in a pound without a wind to blow me. I 've seen plenty of those profiles and when you go to them they try to cram themselves right into your phone jack, in my case it usually took about 30min, or froze my computer up.

I say its not bad as long as the pictures are small and don't cause the member info table to blow way out of normal bounds. The picture fomats like GIF, and TIF and so forth are what really causes it, and i've also noticed that some people have so many pictures that they themselves even exceed the bandwidth on photobuket, a major problem considering what that system was built for O.O
if there was a limit then id say you could only use about ten pics.

I'm kinda jumping into this a little late, and sorry if some of this has already been said but....

I think that pictures should definitely be allowed on profiles still...honestly, I hate the fact that you have to pay for that in your journal on DA, the ability to use images here is one of the things that FAC has going for it.

I suppose there could be a reasonable limit...things like no stretching the page horizontally with images. Maybe admins can decide what becomes abusing of the image privilege and notify those people accordingly, just like abusing any other aspect of the site. There are those who use pictures responsibly, and it would be sad to limit those people.

And seriously, people who spam their profiles with a bazillion images are usually the younger users who will hopefully grow out of that in time. And besides, if people just don't bother with people who have profiles like that then it will be incentive not to. And those of us who care about this probably, (no offence to those users etc) do not look at their art and spend ample time on their profile page.

Anyway, that is my two or three cents on the matter.

Agreed. I say that a limit on the number of images be enforced.
