Read a lot of books since my last visit here.
Some of the better ones were by Jodi Picoult, Keeping faith (7/10) and The Pact(6/10) .
I've also reread the entire Dollenganger series by Virginia Andrews, Still fucking love 'em.
I'm currently reading The Beach by Alex Garland for the second time... great fucking book... in my last comment i was about 3/4 of the way through the book and i gave it a 9/10
I now give it a well deserved 10/10
Goddamn right! <3 |

"The Foreshadowing" by Marcus Sedgwick.
I really liked his earlier works, and I'm hoping this one will be nice as well. His historical fiction isn't quite as interesting or gothic as his "The Dark Flight Down" and prequel story, which were alternative fantasy, but it's still a good read.

I'm very happily reading the Haruhi Suzumiya novels. I have no clue who they're by, but I love it.

...did I mention Mikuru was in a maid's outfit? |

I'm almost finished with The Decameron by Giovanni Boccaccio. Most of it is pretty funny and I have learned a few strange tidbits of information about Italy in the 1300s.
I just don't know what I'll read when I'm done with it though...I've been having trouble finding good books for the last few months. |

I read Across the Nightingale Floor a few weeks ago. Me and my friend were looking through the school library and we came across it. Luckily the library had two copies.
I'm also involved in the CILIP carnegie award. We have to read the shortlisted books and rate them. I have currently read three of the shortlist:
My Swordhand is Swinging by Marcus Sedgwick- Me and my friend were saying that he is probably the only person who can chuck so many random things into a plot and still make a story out of it.
A Swift Pure Cry by Siobhan Dowd- this was utterly amazing. I couldn't put it down. It was also her debut novel.
Just in Case by Meg Rosoff- Pretty good, but you still wonder whats actually happened in the book. The title is also a huge pun (which you only get after opening the book) |

I'm reading The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo, just because I love the Disney movie. As usual, the book is sooooooooooooo much better! Nothing can stop me from loving the movie, though. _________________ |

Flowers for Algernon. My english teacher is making us read it. I do like it so far though. Better than all the other ones he made us read. Grapes of Wrath, The Old Man and the Sea, Of Mice and Men, The Pearl, all really ooooold books for the most part... lol ^^ |
