Hey, there. Just wondering if anyone else in this forum has millitary experience or just me? Well, if you do then tell a funny or interesting story about the experience.
I'll start.
During my stay on Parris Island (aka, the island that God forgot) South Carolina for basic training, my platoon discovered that if you mumble commands under your breath for no apparent reason while making a head call (i.e. taking a piss) the kill hound (Junior Drill Instructor) will hear you and come up with a humiliating way for us to pay for it.
So, while we were all lined up infront of the urinal/trough some recruit mumbled "In place, double time" the kill hound heard it and simply said, "Alright, in place double time!"
"Sir, Aye Sir!" we shouted and with that we started to march in place at double speed, thus making a urine soaked mess of oursleves. Luckily it was just a few hours before taps (i.e. lights out, sleepy time). we were a Camuflage trouser short until the next laundry day...some short even more...ugh...And of course we had to clean the mess up to.
Oh, Platoon 1022 of the 1st Recruit Training Battalion inside Squadbay C3. No one had it as bad as us...but hey, "The key to victory is endurance and pain, Platoon 1022 is known for this, oohrah, oohrah, rock on!"
