'Jump on page...' back perhaps?

Back in old FAC was this feature which allowed jumping to specific page without clicking next or prev constantly... now wasn't it nice time to check out from one old topic or very long RP one specific post? I really think so.

However, on current forum this feature has just vanished. You have to click next and prev buttons all the way to that specific post which can be on page 30 or 43 and from both ends, it's looooong way to get to that post. Atleast i have gotten quite frustrated after clicking next and prev like... 20 to 70 times on one RP.

So... is it possible to get this feature back?

If I understand your post correctly, you still can, just click the number of the page you desire.

also I think if you click the [img]http://forums.fanart-central.net/templates/subSilver/images/icon_newest_reply.gif[/img] it takes you to the first unread post in the thread ( I could be wrong, I don't use it)

I think you misunderstood me slightly, but other wise you were correct.

The clicking of desired number is good, but only lets you jump 3 pages at maximum (and it won't let you jump more than 3 before the dots...). I'm talking from jumping more than just 3 numbers.

The icon, pretty useful, but wasn't the actual thing i meant.

I think Moonlightelf mean's something like a "Jump [i]to[/i]" feature where you type a page number in a box, and it'll go to that page. For threads that are really, really long, having the page number links doesn't work as well since it only does the first few pages and last few pages.

You can do something like this until/if they find a way to add that. Example:
http://forums.fanart-central.net/viewtopic.php?t=19254&start=1000 <--- Change this very last number, which I believe stands for the post number at the top of the page. If the number on the most recent page was say, 1500, and you wanted to go back 10 pages, you would change the number to 1300, as there are 20 posts per page.

london the number at the end of the url there you posted is the page starting post number, whatever that number there should be where the post it takes you to and anything before it is not shown.
