...New rule?\More Mods?

Alright, I have been on the site for a while but, I am new to the forums. When I go through threads I get very agitated when I see members posting completely off topic comments. It's pointless, confusing, spam and annoying. Is there anyone else here that feels the same way? I really hope so.

I have two suggestions :

1) More mods to monitor comments

2) Make a rule that it isn't allowed to wonder off topic too much

I truely hope this problem will be resolved. If not, this will be quite the unpleasent place for discussion...

I believe it is a rule to stay on topic, and mods are currently busy dealing with chain letters and threatening comments, which take priority over off-topic comments. If people are having conversations in your picture comments or if they are off-topic, the most you can do right now is delete their comments or ask them to stop spamming.

Have you contacted a mod about it?
Because some of them might be able to delete any comments that don't belong where they are.

I didn't mean in my gallery though. I meant in the forums. People will start talking with each other and it is quite annoying...I believe more "Comment Mods" or "Forum Mods" should be chosen.

The forums already have too many mods.
You just have to contact one if you're annoyed, because mods are lazy.

You should mod your own comments/comments you recieve. If someone spams/types something inappropriate then delete it yourself. There doesn't need to be a mod for that.
And if someone seriously flames you or something else against the rules then report it.

Yeah, but only mods can delete comments in threads. That's what they're trying to say.

But still, there's a whole ton of mods, you just have to actually talk to one.

Then, the ones who are lazy should be replaced with people who aren't lazy or have more time on their hands.

In places other than Random, you mean?


I think we're fine with the mods (and number of mods) that we have now. The only section where off topic conversation is really annoying is in the forum games, and nobody cares about those anyway.

Mods don't want to actually moderate because that would make people not like them, and the average person who wants to be a mod, wants it for the social status.

There are exceptions, but they are far too rare.
