I dunno if there's a thread like this out there...but let's discuss them.

The Naruto fandom is overflowing with them. As well as several other extreamly popular animes. Have you noticed some really bad ones? Tell me about them!

Ok yes I have seen a few Mary Sues but I don't have a worst.

I did find this one fic for Yu Yu Hakusho that was just Mary Sue bashing. It starts when they find her and instantly they all get a crush on her. Even Hiei. Everything about her is described in excruciating detail. Her powers her beauty her sob story every step she takes...In the end they find out she is a demon that put them under a spell and Hiei kills her. It is sooo funny. It's like 4 chapters and is still on FFN. " Angel of Godessess" Razz

Select Hiei 4 char 1 and genre Humor.
Make sure you select complete.
Might take a few pages but it should still be there.
Or you could just google it. Wink

I just finished it. I laughed so hard :3 I loved how she was part, like, everything. Fish, dog, cat, demon, and so on.

Every fandom has Mary Sues, fact of life. While I mock them when I see them, I don't dwell on their existence. Not worth my energy.

Yeah, they're here in every fandom. Especially Harry Potter, which is pretty notorious for them.
Most people don't like them b/c they're basically just the author throwing herself into the story. So they're fun to write, not so fun to read.
Gary Lous, however, are much rarer. Not the same thing as OMC's, and I don't think I've ever found a genuine one.
But yeah...I don't like them, but they do represent a vital piece of the world of fantasy.
So whatever.
