Category choice problem

Theres something wrong with the category choices when I try to upload something.
When I try to choose a category it all goes blank, then I can't upload anything, and I tried refresh thousands of times and it doesn't seem to help... whats wrong?! Sad

Hmm... I was doing some category work last night and I probably just forgot to clean up after myself.

I've recompiled the script data just to be sure, so try it again now and let me know if there are any further errors.

IE's error reporting sucks (Firefox will actually paste the line of code which caused it, not just the line number).

I have yet to confirm this error on my end, so this might take awhile.

(I can't fix what I can't find.)

Hang in there, we're still investigating it.

This bug seems to affect only a small portion of users (otherwise we'd have a million reports of it by now!), and I'm working on an update to the script which will help further track the problem and imply exactly what's going wrong.

The code is not account specific in any way so it must be browser related in some way.

Right. Judging by the error message, I'm guessing that some browsers are unable to compile the names[] array (for whatever reason, I don't know, they're properly escaped and all...), because that's the only thing I can think of to generate the error in question.

well it never did this error before. it just started a few days ago.

Refresh (or force refresh) your browser and try again; let me know if it still occurs because I think we found the culprit just last night.

Are you running any browser toolbars or extensions?

What Internet browser (and version) are you using?

First, try a force-refresh (Shift+F5 or Ctrl+F5, depending on browser) on the submissions form to make sure the page is loaded with the current version of the script.

What [i]version[/i] of Internet explorer?

1 - Go to Internet Explorer's options, Advanced pane, tell it to "enable script debugging" [i]and[/i] "show a notification about every script error". Reload the page and tell me if you receive any error messages from IE.

2 - I built a debug output into the latest version of the script to help investigate errors. Immediately after selecting a category, type [b]d3bug[/b] and the page should display a popup box showing information about how the script ran. Take a screenshot and let me know what it says.
