What happened to my fanfic?

I typed out a fanfic last night and it looked fine. I looked at it again today and it was fine but once I posted it here, all the quotation marks disappeared and other symbols like apostraphes were replaced with other weird symbols. How did that happen? Question

Sounds like an encoding problem (known issue).

What file format were you uploading it as?
