I'm not the deeply religous type person but i keep to it most of the time( or i try too) i really do not like gay stuff. It goes against nature and everything and its ok to like someone of the same sex and be close to them( aka best freinds or ppl who u treat like brothers) but loving them and doing sexual stuff like that is dead wrong. I know its america and its free and everything but still. And Yaoi just seems to infleunce it. Sure i don't discriminate against gay ppl but i still think its wrong. and i bet half the ppl who r gay that are christian may not even know its a sin...

Yaoi is almost exclusively created by females for females. It's impact on male wouldbe homosexuals is pretty much nil.

did u miss everything that i said or what. I said i didn't like it because its against the bible and i personally don't think its right. I don't give a damn if girls like seeing two guys do stuff with each other. They need to get a damn bf and chill out with that shit. and what does cananda have to do with it being gay? Christianity is world wide so u can't say thier aren't christian thier either.

Anyway, yaoi can be pretty tough to place. Most are between bishounens, or boys that are basically girls, so they don't really count as gay.
Then there are series like FAKE, which are not bishounen at all. It's pretty difficult to tell whether or not the popularity of yaoi actually affects the gay community and people's stances on issues, but there seems to be no harm in it. Or you could see it as trivializing the issue, putting it alongside other manga topics like magic or fairies or whatever, but at the very least it is a more romantic (as in the era) view of this issue.

Face it, most yaoi is actually yuri.

edit: And I personally don't find it very sexually appealing because I can't relate to it, but that's just me.
