Photoshop CS3 extended or Adobe Illustrator CS3?

I have the option of getting either Photoshop CS3 extended or Adobe Illustrator CS3 but I'm not sure of wich one I should get. Any Suggestions?

So, what i draw on that shows up on the screen?

You get better control, because your mouse is shaped like pen, instead of a mouse. Also, if you push harder on the tablet, your line on the screen becomes bigger, darker, denser, etc. If you press lightly, your brush gets smaller, lighter, etc. If you're going to spend serious cash to get CS3, what's an extra hundred bucks on a really useful tool?
