I want Rock Band, because you don't just "have" to use a guitar but I love Guitar Hero, because it's just plain addictive.

I've never heard of Rock Band so I'm 80% sure that it's pretty suckish. I'd go with Guitar Hero.

heard of it I think it looks cool but I wouldn't buy it. Guitar hero is , as u said, addictive VER VERY ADDICTIVE. but I've been hearing people say that GH3 isn't the best and that rock band is better than it soooo*shrugs* GH2 over rock band and Rock Band over GH3

Both made by the same guys. Different set lists, but you can interchange the guitars, so that's cool. The four player deal really sells it for me, that and the second set of fret buttons on the guitar for shedding. Both, in my opinion. Guitar hero for my single player jamming and Rock Band when I feel like rocking out with the fellas.

Rock Band will have a much longer longevity, of course, what with the plans for weekly/monthly releases of not just a handful of songs, but entire ALBUMS. If that doesn't kick ass nothing does.

Oh I was wondering why Rock Band looked like a rip off of Guitar Hero XD.
I do want Rock Band though, I recently got Guitar Hero III, now it's totally easy for me to hit orange from just mashing buttons listening to H.I.M Laughing

Doing hard currently.

The releases of albums seems like a great idea for Rock Band.

I'm getting GH3 next year for my birthday (Wii edition of it anyway, so I don't have to buy an XBox 360 THEN buy the game!), But I heard that Rock Band (from a friend), is a good game! Smile

guitar hero 1 2 and rock band are red octane gh3 is made by activision which bought red octane and some different people made it. which accounts for the different look to it.. but that has nothing to do with the thread topic.

well....ive masterd gh2 and 3 so im contemplating RB so i can try my hand (and feet) at the drums.

I haven't really played rockband
But I just got GHIII on PS2
The gameplay is great, but the graphics on the people are kinda
Bleh.
But what can you do?

If I had to get one, I'd get Guitar Hero cause it seems easier, it's cheaper, and I love Slash.

I love Slash too, but GHIII got gay.
The thing about Rock Band that I hate is that the guitar work is like hard as shit...
It feels like I'm pressing my fingers against some pillows....
That's why I switched to drums..Rock Band is very fun though.

If you pick singing you don't actually have to sing the words you can hum if you want to as long as your pitch is on point.
