Small Question About Songfics

According to FAC's policies, we cannot use material that is not our own. I know very well that songfics tiptoe on the fine line between unallowed and allowed, but when I searched for songfics, I found a whole whack of them. Because FF.net does not allow songfics with lyrics not in the public domain, I was planning to upload a songfic here, but I wanted to make sure it would be A-OK first before I did anything.

So, are songfics allowed? Discouraged?

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section, I didn't know where else to post this.

It is the artist, not the fandom, that makes the picture worth it.

If you feel that the fandom is worthless, then fighting the urge to pass judgement on a picture based on that fandom is a rather good idea.

That is, of course, unless you want the fangirls/fanboys coming after you with foaming mouths.

Stories upload system is intended for creative writing. The definition varies, but using any large portion of copyrighted material is not a good idea.
