I can see the moon
I can see the sparkling stars
I know they are true

I decided to make my first poem a short one. Haiku short of course!

In the night
I hear them yell
I feel my painfully beating heart
I'm in hell
Can no one see?
The pain, the sorrow?
Why can't he
be quiet until tomorrow
When I'll be gone
And he'll be there
He'll be alone
My momma will be with me, here.
She's crying and he yells
No one hears them but me.
The little ones, cannot feel
The screaming voices, like me...

I feel the sorrow, the loss of one
so dear to my heart.
He could not talk, he liked to play
but on the morning he went away.
He didn't see, that silly baby
Oh how I miss him, my sweet Mojo.
I raised him from birth, when his mother died
and now he's gone, from my side.
His black body and white spotted chest and toe
I'll always remember and cherish so.
He'll be in heaven, when I arrive.
Of that I'm sure, and makes me alive.

Rage I cannot comprehend
The understanding that I've done wrong,
but know not what I've done...
Can't I show my love, in a way
that doesn't hurt those close to me?
I'm sorry for their pain,
but what about me?
I cannot see clearly,
and neither can they.
Out emotions are so different,
and yet, we feel the same.
Rage and pain....

Sleep deprived and wishing
I could lay my head down
If only for a minute
that would calm my mind
Now I lay my head in my hands
and I wonder....
If peaches were pie
Which would be rye?
Or if camels were dogs
what about a hog?
Maybe if cats were mice
they wouldn't be rats.
I wonder about
the most ridiculous things
then I realize
I'm dreaming!!

((yeah...I was awake at two am and decided to type what i thought...this is what happened.))

I cannot see, what I am meant to be
My mind isn't clear, and yet to me it is dear
To me and mine, I am not kind.
I wish to know, how do I grow?
Grow from this pain, wishing no gain.
No gain, other than to escape the pain.
Lost in my mind, why can't they be kind?
I know I am whining, but they are signing,
Signing my death note, the one I wrote.....
