I was trying to think of a witty phrase to stick after the word "hocus," but nothing came.

Also, I have no biology class this semester, and I have nothing to do.

Brian made me laugh. This is clearly not healthy!

I have a bio class this term and it focuses on evolution and genetics (I dropped the other one because six courses in one term is gay, and it was about internal structure and function of bacterium ]:). It's totally ace.

Anyway, I attended a lecture delivered by political and environmental scientist (I unfortunately can't recall his name at the moment), and his speech was about global warming and Canada's sovereignty over the arctic ice caps and/or the Northwest Passage.

Of course, I didn't know much about the state of global warming before and how important it was to recognize the problems it's causing.

So tell me, politics board. Which of the candidates are actually going to do something about it? I have an active interest in the election going on at the moment, but I'm far too much of a lazy fag to do research. Humour me. :[

ETA: Also, vote for whoever's gonna support Canada's sovereignty in the arctic. Trust me, it's a lot more advantageous to the 'states if Canada retains the right to control the Northwest Passage rather than letting it become an international strait.

Al Gore. AFAIK Romney acknowledges its existence, but doesn't want to do too much about of possible economic effects. Everyone else is all for reducing harmful emissions.

The arctic is a bit of a non-issue election-wise. 8'D

That's because no one knows anything about it, and therefore doesn't care. I didn't even know anything about it until I sat through that lecture. 8D;

It's probably the most immediate problem caused by global warming, lol.

CUT YOUR EMISSIONS OR POLAR BEARS WILL BE EXTINCT BY 2015. >8|

I'm pretty sure it's in most people's interests not to cause the genocide of animals.

eta; most bears are really calm and don't attack people like, AT ALL. they just want food, and humans aren't on that list.

they'll steal your barbecue, tho

eta2; and your trash

A friend learned in a geography class that the world's most frequent buyers of polar bear skins are Japanese hotels.

Hur hur hur.

I make fun of them afterschool.
Because their musical tastes consist of what comes out of Disney. Honestly, we make fun of Mormons because they tend to be rich and or pansies.
EDIT:
I mean always
and I agree with London.

I'm defidently not rich and if there's one thing I don't like- it's pansies.

But whatever...I already hate this topic. No use trying to explain myself to

1)Someone I don't even know
2)Someone who is so stubborn and wrapped up in themself that it won't matter what I say because it won't change anything about what they think
3)Someone who doesn't think I have anything smart to say anyway.

Bye.
